MAKERS
Built around the idea of having a unique lyric book, I re-designed one of my favorite albums to really capture the sound and feeling of the music. The idea for the lyric book came first, layering each page to create a mountain range gave the book more dimension than typical vinyl inserts. To create contrast, I chose to make the outside of the album mostly white, so when the lyric book was removed from the package, it was a visually pleasing surprise for the consumer. The entire album uses a mixture of my own photographs as well as some found imagery, with quick gesture drawings done over each page. The idea of hand drawn type matched the fluidity of each illustration in the booklet, and really brought together the music and the photography.
